The first hydrogen vessel to sail around the world, the EnergyObserver, reached Spitsbergen in August. The floating laboratory operates exclusively with renewable energies and hydrogen.

On 10th August 2019, the EnergyObserver team reached the group of islands in the North Atlantic, thus achieving an important milestone in the six-year expedition. The hydrogen catamaran will be operated with an electrolyser based on the PROTON© PEM technology, supplied by Diamond Lite.
