Within the framework of partnerships, our highly qualified scientists and engineers are currently working on solutions in a wide range of scientific disciplines on behalf of many national and international research centres.
Our spectrum ranges from the reconceptualisation of system components and checking of calculation bases to the application of international codes and standards. For ITER, which is currently the largest international development project, our employees are developing tritium retention plants. ITER is currently built in Cadarache in the south of France. Following the foundation of our branch in Manosque, our scientists work directly with the ITER teams on site and conduct calculations and the modelling of components, organise international design reviews and provide system engineering support services.
Safety without compromises
At CERN, a plant for the disposal of radioactive waste was engineered and the mechanical technology related equipment, such as a metal-press-cutting system and dust collection and filtering systems, was assembled. That also includes a facility for the thermal cutting of massive and large waste components.
Since 1988, a Kraftanlagen team has been carrying out engineering services within a consortium, for example for the Large Hadron Collider and follow-up experiments such as the ATLAS detector.
