Medium pressure/low pressure piping systems for Moorburg power plant

As part of the new construction of a double-block hard coal-fired power plant in Hamburg-Moorburg, Kraftanlagen München was tasked with the erection of the medium-pressure/low-pressure piping systems in January of 2008. The double-block hard coal-fired power plant features a gross electrical output of 1,640 MW and a district heating extraction of between 450 MW and 650 MW.

The scope of services included engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, quality assurance and commissioning as well as the trial operation and the documentation of the medium-pressure/low-pressure piping systems with valves and heat insulation. The installation time was approx. 18 months.

In order to ensure meeting contract deadlines, the medium-pressure/low-pressure fabrication was performed by the Kraftanlagen München subsidiary Finow Rohrsysteme GmbH in Eberswalde.
