Fire protection is an important topic in the wood industry Due to the processing of the flammable raw material wood, the risk of fire is particularly high in this industry segment. The Ladenburger woodworking companies have been involved in the processing and refinement of this natural product for more than 75 years. With a total production capacity of more than 800,000 m³, the group of companies is among Europe's industry leaders.
In the summer of 2014 Kraftanlagen Hamburg received the first order for the installation of sprinkler systems at the Geithain location in Saxony. Through spring of 2015 there were several follow-up orders, among them for the Bopfingen-Kerkingen location in Baden-Württemberg.
The guideline for execution is VdSCEA4001, the standard rules for engineering and installation of sprinkler systems.

- Equipping production and storage facilities with sprinkler systems (in the existing facilities during ongoing production as well as in new buildings).

Special features
- Use of low-pressure drying systems with an exposure to water of 19.5 mm/min for block storages with a storage height of up to 5.5 m.
- In order to improve corrosion protection, the drying tube network is fed nitrogen.
